Our thoughts behind offering these golfing breaks are based on personal experience and realising that for many it would be ideal to easily play a great golf course yet have all of the city centre attractions on hand at the same time.

This parkland golf course is situated in the heart of the ancient Forest of Galtres. From the seventh green, York Minster is visible to the south, and to the north, 20 miles away, one can see the White Horse of Kilburn on the Hambleton Hills. The rural and peaceful nature of this ancient forest area, with its mature oak trees, has been enhanced by much additional tree planting.
All of the greens have been constructed to the high and demanding specification of the U.S. Golf Association in order to create putting surfaces capable of all year round play. The course is spacious covering about 120 acres and is an 18 hole course measuring 6,534 yards from the medal tees. It is par 72 and the standard scratch Scratch Score is 71.

York Golf Club is situated six miles to the north of the City, on gently-undulating heathland.
Created in 1904 by Open Champion JH Taylor, the original heathland character of this course on Strensall Common is still the main draw for visitors of all handicaps.
Aside from the course itself, the club boasts an excellent and well stocked pro shop, extensive practice facilities, a clubhouse bar and restaurant with balcony overlooking the 1st tee and 18th green.
York Golf Club offers our residents a reduced green fee of £35, at present online tee booking isn't supported so contact the hotel and we'll make the reservation for you.
